The Wallace Initiative provides information on the potential impacts of climate change on the suitable climates for many crops, weeds, pollinators and insect pests. A user can look at the same species under two different temperatures (for example), or two species under the same temperature, or different adaptation options - including the potential climate space for a species if it were to be moved (coming soon). The latter option provides useful information on where a crop might be moved to or the potential spread of invasive species.
The map shown here is for Macadamia tetraphylla, comparing the potential climate space of the species in Australia with a global temperature increase of 3.2 degrees C (the level of warming the current mitigation pledges would take us to). Note that many of the production regions in Queensland are lost under this scenario.
